4 July, Singapore – Bridge Data Centres, a Bain Capital-backed hyperscale data centre platform, has unveiled its inaugural environmental, social and governance (ESG) report, detailing its blueprint for a sustainable data centre future. The rapid growth of data centre development across the Asia-Pacific region has intensified demand for high-performance, secure, and globally accessible computing. As data volumes surge and complexity increases, expectations are rising—data centres must deliver greater efficiency and reliability while reducing their environmental impact. Bridge Data Centres is addressing these evolving demands through sustainability-led innovation. The ESG report details how the company is investing in energy-efficient systems, accelerating its transition to renewable energy, enhancing supply chain performance, and committing to emissions reductions. Ahead of the report’s release, BDC established a three-tier ESG governance framework comprising governance, management, and execution layers, with the Board of Directors providing top-level oversight. Eric Fan, Chairman of Bridge Data Centres ESG Committee, commented, “This inaugural ESG report is a testament to our commitment to building a future that is sustainable, equitable, and resilient. It reflects our core belief that the long-term success of our company is inseparable from the health of our planet, the well-being of our communities, and the trust we earn from our stakeholders.” The report highlights several technological milestones across six environmental performance domains—water resources management, high-efficiency thermal management, energy system resilience, carbon foot print reduction, green technology R&D, and digital energy governance. Backed by 588 patents, BDC has made significant strides in water recycling and on-site treatment systems to improve Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE). Breakthroughs in cooling technologies have lowered Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) in subtropical regions to below 1.2—setting a new company milestone for energy efficiency. At our Thailand facility, BDC deployed a distributed PV system, a key milestone in transforming the park's energy mix. In 2024, this…
